Harem Gates at Ras El Tin Palace
The first photograph in Egypt is believed to be of the Harem Gate at Ras El Tin Palace in Alexandria. It was taken by Frédéric Goupil-Fesquet and Horace Vernet on November 7, 1839, during their photographic expedition.
