مدينة الإسكندرية مدينة ساحرة لها تأثير على الكثير من الأشخاص، تظهر المواهب المكنونة لكل شخص كما فعلت مع الفنان أحمد عبدالوهاب؛ وتظهر موهبته في أشكاله النحتية والخزفية ترانيم التراث الشعبي والفن المصري القديم.
وُلد ونشأ بمدينة طنطا، وبدأ رحلته مع النحت منذ صغره وكان هناك متحف صغير للفن المصري ملحق بمكتبة طنطا كان يتردد إليه دائمًا.
عاش بمدينة الإسكندرية وتأثر بها وبأستاذ النحت الذي تتلمذ على يديه الكثير من فناني الإسكندرية الفنان / جمال السجينى.
وقد اتجه فترة إلى إقامة تماثيله من الفخار ثم أتقن فن الخزف وأصبح من روادة دبلوم كلية الفنون الجميلة بالقاهرة 1957، وأصبح عضو اللجنة الثقافية بمدينة الإسكندرية 1975 ـ 1980 - عمل أستاذاً ورئيساً لقسم النحت بكلية الفنون الجميلة بالإسكندرية من عام 1979 ـ 1988 - عضو لجنة تحكيم جائزة الدولة التشجيعية للخزف 1980 - عضو لجنة المقتنيات الفنية 1981 - عضو لجنة تحكيم جوائز الشباب 1989 . - عضو لجنة التحكيم جائزة الدولة التشجيعية 1990 - وكيلًا لكلية الفنون الجميلة بالإسكندرية 1990 ـ 1992 - عضو لجنة تحكيم المعرض العام 1991 - أستاذًا متفرغًا بكلية الفنون الجميلة بالإسكندرية منذ عام 1992.
قدم الفنان مجموعة من الأعمال مستوحاه من الحياة الشعبية في قرى الصعيد ومظاهر الإحتفالات الشعبية بالمولود مثلما ظهر في عمله.
من أهم أعماله المنحوتات الفردية،النحت البارز ، التكوينات النحتية ، بالإضافة إلى تجربته في الرسم والتصوير .
أقام العديد من المعارض منها معرض بأتليية الإسكندرية و معرض بقاعة السلام بالقاهرة ومعرض بمكتبة الإسكندرية، وشارك في بعض المعارض الجماعية كما في معرض صالون القاهرة وبينالي الإسكندرية الرابع والخامس والسادس والكثير من المعارض.
أصبحت مدينة الإسكندرية مليئه بأعماله كما في نادي سبورتنج ،متحف الفنون الجميلة والجدير بالذكر أنه له متحف دائم يضم مجموعة أعمال مختلفة في مراحل مختلفة بمكتبة الإسكندرية.

It has a knack for unveiling the hidden talents within people, just as it did with the artist Ahmed Abdel-Wahab.
His sculptural and ceramic works resonate with the rhythms of folk heritage and ancient Egyptian art.
Born and raised in Tanta, his journey with sculpture began at a young age. He was a frequent visitor to a small Egyptian art museum attached to Tanta library.
Having lived in Alexandria and been influenced by the city, he studied under the renowned sculptor Jamal el-Segini, who taught many of Alexandria's artists.
For a period, he created sculptures from clay before mastering the art of ceramics. He became a pioneer of the diploma program at the Cairo Faculty of Fine Arts in 1957 and a member of the Alexandria Cultural Committee from 1975 to 1980.
He served as a professor and head of the Sculpture Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Alexandria from 1979 to 1988.
He also held numerous positions on various committees, including the State Incentive Award for Ceramics, the Art Acquisitions Committee, and the Youth Awards Committee.
The artist produced a body of work inspired by the rural life of Upper Egypt and the celebrations surrounding childbirth, as evidenced in his work.
His most significant works include freestanding sculptures, reliefs, and sculptural compositions. He also experimented with painting and drawing.
He held numerous solo exhibitions, including ones at the Alexandria Atelier, the Cairo Peace Hall, and the Alexandria Library. He also participated in group exhibitions such as the Cairo Salon and the 4th, 5th, and 6th Alexandria Biennales.
Alexandria is now replete with his works, which can be found in places like Sporting Club and the Museum of Fine Arts. Notably, he has a permanent museum showcasing his works at various stages of his career at the Alexandria Library.
