ولدت فاطمه أحمد كمال الدين محمد شاكر (الشهيرة في السينما المصرية بشادية) عام1931 في محافظه الشرقيه المصريه لعائلة من أصول تركيه.
تعتبر شادية إحدي الممثلات والمغنيات المبدعه في مصر والشرق الأوسط، بدأت رحلتها الفنية في عمر 16 عاما وأشتهرت بأدوارها الكوميدية والدرامية في الفتره الممتدة بين خمسينيات وسبعينيات القرن الماضي، يعتبرها النقاد من أكثر الفنانات العربيات شهرة ونجاحا في زمانها. كان أول ظهور لها في فيلم "أزهار وأشواك". أما آخر أفلامها فكان" لا تسألني من أنا" ، كما أشتهرت بأغنيتها الوطنيه "يا حبيبتي يا مصر" وبدورها الرائد في الفيلم المصري"المرأة المجهولة"
وفي إحدي مباني إلاسكندريه قامت الفنانة شادية بدورها السينمائي مع الأديب نجيب محفوظ روايته ميرامار حيث كانت الفنانة شادية تمثل بطلة روايته.
ثم اعتزلت التمثيل والغناء عندما أكملت 50 عاما وارتدت الحجاب عام 1986، وكرست حياتها بعد الاعتزال لرعاية الأطفال الأيتام، علما بأنها لم ترزق بأولاد.
وفارقت الفنانة المصرية شادية الحياة 28 نوفمبر عام 2017 بعد صراع مع المرض عن عمر ناهز 86 عاماً.

Fatima Ahmed Kamal El-Din Mohamed Shaker, known in Egyptian cinema as "Shadia", she was born in 1931 in the Sharqia Governorate of Egypt to a family of Turkish descent.
Shadia is considered one of the creative actresses and singers in Egypt and the Middle East. She began her artistic journey at the age of 16 and gained fame for her comedic and dramatic roles during the 1950s through the 1970s. Critics regard her as one of the most famous and successful Arab artists of her time. Her first appearance was in the film "Azhaar wa Ashwaak" . Her last film was "La Tas'alni Man Ana" . She was also well-known for her patriotic song "Ya Habibati Ya Masr" and her prominent role in the Egyptian film "Al-Mar'a Al-Majhoola" .
In one of Alexandria's buildings, Shadia starred in the film adaptation of Naguib Mahfouz's novel "Miramar," where she played the heroine of the story.
She retired from acting and singing at the age of 50 and wore the hijab in 1986, dedicating her post-retirement life to caring for orphaned children, although she did not have any children of her own.
The Egyptian actress Shadia passed away on November 28, 2017, after a battle with illness, at the age of 86.
