وهي كلمة تركية الأصل وبالتركي "eczahane" وهي كلمة مركبة من كلمتين أحداهما عربية وهي "أجزا" وهي محرفة من "أجزاء" وتطلق باللغة التركية على الدواء لأنه بيتكون من أجزاء مختلفة. والكلمة الثانية هي كلمة فارسية وهي "خانة" ودي معناها "الدار" يعني لو جمعناهم فهي تعني "دار الدواء" وكان يطلق على الصيدلي "أجزجي" وهي مركبة من مقطعين الأول هو برضوا "أجزا" والي قولنا معناه الدواء والمقطع الثاني هو "جي" ودي معناها "صاحب" ودة هو الشخص الي في وقتنا الحالي "الصيدلي".
