بأحد شوارع منطقة الشاطبي الشهيرة وسط الإسكندرية، تقع المدرسة العريقة بمبانيها مدرسة "EGC"، وهي واحدة من ضمن مدراس النصر التي تضم الEBS و Victoria collage هي واحدة من أعرق مدارس الاسكندرية؛ تم افتتحها سنة ١٩٣٥م في فيلا "زرافوداكي" بزيزينا، انتقلت بعد سنتين إلى موقعها الحالي"الشاطبي".
تم إنشاء المدرسة على يد السير هنري باركر وكان يطلق عليها الكلية الإنجليزية للبنات لأنها كانت تحت إدارة إنجليزية ومعلمين إنجليز وكانت تمثل مدرسة داخلية للطلبة الوافدين إلى مصر ثم تم تأميمها سنة ١٩٥٦م في عهد جمال عبد الناصر وسميت كلية النصر وظلت تقبل طلابًا من البنين حتى الصف الثالث الإعدادي ثم أُلغي هذا.
ومن أشهر خريجاتها: الملكة صوفيا ملكة إسبانيا السابقة، وشقيقة ملك اليونان قسطنطين، ولها صور فوتوغرافية حينما زارت المدرسة، وأصرت على أن تلتقط الصور على مقعدها الدراسي.
وتظل كلية النصر للبنات قائمة ممثلة لبناتها الطلبة والخرجيين بيتهم الثاني فال EGC عشقًا لا يعلمه إلا أبنائها.

On one of the streets of the famous Shatby district in the heart of Alexandria, stands the prestigious EGC School, one of the Nasr Schools, which also includes EBS and Victoria College. It is one of Alexandria's oldest and most distinguished schools. It was originally opened in 1935 in the Zarafoudaki Villa in Zizinia, and moved two years later to its current location in Shatby.
The school was founded by Sir Henry Barker and was initially called the English College for Girls because it was under English administration and staffed by English teachers. It served as a boarding school for students coming to Egypt. It was nationalized in 1956 during the era of Gamal Abdel Nasser and renamed Nasr College. It continued to accept male students up to the third preparatory grade, after which this practice was discontinued.
Among its most famous alumnae are Queen Sofia, the former Queen of Spain, and the sister of King Constantine of Greece. Photographs of her during her visit to the school show her insisting on having her picture taken at her school desk.
Nasr College for Girls remains a beacon of hope for its students and graduates, a second home for them. EGC holds a special place in the hearts of its students and graduates, a love known only to its alumni.
