في أحد شوارع الإسكندرية، تحديدًا شارع اسطنبول بمحطة الرمل؛ يوجد مبنى من أجمل المباني الموجودة حاليًا فيلا "محمد فيطر" فهو مبنى على الطراز المعماري الإيطالي يصل عمرها إلى ١١٠ عام تقريبًا.
يعلو المبنى تاج ملكي منقوش بداخله حرف M, F بالإضافة إلى النقوش المزخرفة والتماثيل الصغيرة؛ قال محمود فيطر أن هذه الحروف اختصارًا ل"فيطر" وهو اسم المنشأة ووالدي ولا يوجد أي تفسير آخر للحروف على الفيلا.
يُقال أن هذه الفيلا بناها أحد اليونانيين وظل فيها سنوات طويلة حتى رحل عنها عام ١٩٦٤، ثم انتقلت ملكيتها للمواطن المصري "محمد فيطر" الذي كان أحد المستأجرين لمحل صغير عبارة عن معرض لديكور المنزل حيث تم تأجيره من صاحب العقار اليوناني عام ١٩٥٨.
وقد تم تجديد المنزل للطراز القديم؛ وقال الدكتور إسلام عاصم، مدير جمعية التراث بالإسكندرية، إن مبنى «فيطر» غير مدرج بمجلد التراث بالرغم من أنه مبنى تخطى ١٠٠ عام ولكنه غير مسجل ضمن مجلد التراث.

On one of Alexandria's streets, specifically Istanbul Street in Raml Station, stands one of the most beautiful buildings currently in existence: the villa of Mohamed Feter. Built in the Italian architectural style, it is approximately 110 years old.
Atop the villa is a royal crown inscribed with the letters M and F, along with decorative carvings and small statues. Mahmoud Feter explained that these letters are an abbreviation of "Feter," the name of the property and his father, and that there is no other explanation for the letters on the villa.
It is said that this villa was built by a Greek man who lived there for many years until he left in 1964. Ownership then passed to the Egyptian citizen Mohamed Feter, who was one of the tenants of a small shop that served as a home decor showroom, rented from the Greek owner in 1958.
The house has been renovated to its original style. Dr. Islam Assem, Director of the Alexandria Heritage Association, stated that the Feter building is not listed in the heritage register, despite being over 100 years old.
