أحد أقدم المساجد بالإسكندرية (مسجد علي تمراز) الذي يعتبر مصلي رئيسي لأهالي منطقة بحري ويقع بالقرب من ميدان المساجد وقهوة فاروق.
يرجع تاريخ بناء المسجد إلى عام ١٨٥٤م حين قام حسن باشا الاسكندرني أحد كبار رجال الجيش المصري وقائد قوات البحرية في عهد محمد علي،
الذي كان يسكن أمام المسجد فوجد قبر مدون مكتوب عليه أسم ( علي تمراز)، وقام ببناءه على هذا الضريج.
وفي عام ١٩٤١م قام فاروق الأول بتجديد أعمار المسجد والاستعانة بالمهندس الإيطالي ماريو روسي الذي كان مستشار وزارة الأوقاف والذي بنى مسجدي المرسي أبي العباس والقائد إبراهيم.
يتميز المسجد بأنه مزيج من الزخرفة المعمارية الإسلامية يتكون من أعمدة خماسية مزخرفة تعلوها تيجان من النحاس مثبتة، وشبابيك بزخارف خشب الخرط، والسقوف فتحاتها علوية لأنارة المسجد.
كما يوجد المحراب الذي لا مثيل له ومزين بالنقوش مكتوب بخط باللون الذهبي آية (كُلَّمَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا زَكَرِيَّا الْمِحْرَابَ وَجَدَ عِندَهَا رِزْقًا ۖ ) وخط باللون الأخضر مكتوب ايتان من سورة الحج، ويوجد منبراً من الخشب الثمين المصنوع من الطراز العربي .

One of the oldest mosques in Alexandria is the Ali Tamraz Mosque, a major prayer space for the residents of the Bahari district. It is located near Mosque Square and Farouk Coffee Shop.
The mosque's construction dates back to 1854 when Hassan Pasha al-Iskandarani, a prominent figure in the Egyptian army and commander of the navy during the reign of Muhammad Ali,
found a tombstone bearing the name "Ali Tamraz" and built the mosque over it.
In 1941, King Farouk I commissioned renovations of the mosque, enlisting the help of the Italian architect Mario Rossi, an advisor to the Ministry of Religious Endowments, who had also designed the al-Mursi Abu al-Abbas and Qaid Ibrahim mosques.
The mosque is distinguished by its blend of Islamic architectural styles, featuring ornate five-sided columns topped with copper capitals, windows with turned wood carvings, and skylights in the ceilings.
There is also a unique mihrab, adorned with inscriptions in gold script: the verse (Whenever Zechariah entered upon her in the sanctuary, he found her provided with sustenance) and two verses from Surah Al-Hajj in green script. There is also a pulpit made of precious wood in the Arabic style.
