في سماء الإسكندرية الفنية ، أضاء نجم فريد لعقود طويلة ، تاركًا بصمة لا تُمحى في ذاكرة محبي الطرب الأصيل الفنان «إبراهيم عبد الشفيع».
وُلد المطرب والملحن المصري عام 1936م بالإسكندرية ويُعتبر من أبرز فناني الإسكندرية ولُقب بـ "كروان الإسكندرية" و "أمير الغناء".
بدأ مسيرته الفنية مع افتتاح إذاعة الإسكندرية عام 1954م ، حيث تم اعتماده مطرب وملحن على يد الإذاعي حافظ عبد الوهاب والفنان أحمد خميس.
سجل العديد من الأغاني والألحان وتترات المسلسلات لإذاعة الإسكندرية وعمل في الحفلات والأفراح في مختلف المحافظات ، وانتقل إلى القاهرة برفقة المخرج الإذاعي محمود شركس .
ومن الأغنيات الشهيرة التي قام بتسجيلها "يا حاسدين الناس" و "ميعاد حبيبي" مع فرقة المايسترو عبد الحليم نويرة للموسيقى العربية ،
وغنى أيضاً في حفلات أضواء المدينة التي كانت تذاع على التلفزيون المصري.
لحن للعديد من الفنانين منهم صباح ، أحمد عدوية ، سمير الإسكندراني ، ليلى نظمي وكارم محمود .
ومن أبرز أغانيه " شي الله يا مرسي يا أبو العباس " ، " شال الحليوة " ، " بياع الورد " ، " الملاحة والنبي يا جنايني " ، " يا حلوة يا أم الطرحة ".
كان عضوًا في مجلس نقابة المهن الموسيقية بالقاهرة لدورتين متتاليتين ، وعضوًا في مجلس إدارة جمعية الملحنين والمؤلفين والناشرين لدورتين ، وأيضًا كان عضو في لجنة الإستماع بإتحاد الإذاعة والتلفزيون.
تم تكريمه من قبل وزير الثقافة الأسبق محمد صابر عرب ، وأطلقت محافظة الإسكندرية اسمه على أحد الشوارع بمنطقة سموحة و أيضًا أُطلق اسمه على مسرح قصر ثقافة الشاطبي.
توفي إبراهيم عبد الشفيع في 3 نوفمبر 2022 عن عمر يناهز 86 عامًا ، لم يكن مجرد مطرب وملحن ، بل كان صوتًا صادقًا يعكس روح المدينة الساحلية ووجدان أهلها.
In the artistic sky of Alexandria, a unique star shone for decades, leaving an indelible mark on the memory of lovers of authentic Tarab music: the artist Ibrahim Abdel-Shafi.
The Egyptian singer and composer was born in Alexandria in 1936 AD and is considered one of the most prominent artists of Alexandria. He was nicknamed "The Nightingale of Alexandria" and "The Prince of Singing."
He began his artistic career with the opening of Alexandria Radio in 1954 AD, where he was accredited as a singer and composer by the broadcaster Hafez Abdel Wahab and the artist Ahmed Khamis.
He recorded numerous songs, melodies, and series theme songs for Alexandria Radio and worked in concerts and weddings in various governorates. He later moved to Cairo accompanied by the radio director Mahmoud Sherkas.
Among his famous recorded songs are "Ya Hasedeen El-Nas" (Oh, Envious People) and "Mi'aad Habibi" (My Beloved's Appointment) with the Maestro Abdel Halim Nowera Orchestra for Arab Music.
He also sang in "Adwaa El-Madina" (City Lights) concerts, which were broadcast on Egyptian television.
He composed for many artists, including Sabah, Ahmed Adaweya, Samir El-Iskandarani, Laila Nazmi, and Karam Mahmoud.
His most prominent songs include "She Allah Ya Morsi Ya Abu El-Abbas" (For God's Sake, Oh Morsi, Father of Abbas), "Shal El-Helwa" (The Sweet One's Shawl), "Bayya' El-Ward" (The Flower Seller), "El-Malaha Wal-Nabi Ya Janayni" (Beauty, By the Prophet, Oh Gardener), and "Ya Helwa Ya Umm El-Tarha" (Oh Sweet One with the Veil).
He was a member of the board of the Musicians Syndicate in Cairo for two consecutive terms, a member of the board of directors of the Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers for two terms, and also a member of the listening committee of the Radio and Television Union.
He was honored by the former Minister of Culture Mohamed Saber Arab, and the Alexandria Governorate named a street after him in the Smouha area.
Additionally, the theater of the Shatby Cultural Palace was named after him.
Ibrahim Abdel-Shafi passed away on November 3, 2022, at the age of 86. He was not just a singer and composer, but a sincere voice that reflected the spirit of the coastal city and the sentiments of its people.
