أحد أبناء مدينة الإسكندرية الذين حققوا نجاح بالغ بسبب تميزهم، و الذي تمكن من الوصول إلى العديد من الإنجازات التي تجمعه برؤساء الدول، الإعلامي الشهير “أسامة كمال”.
وُلد أسامة كمال في 14 أغسطس بمدينة الإسكندرية عام 1961م، وكانت بداية دراسته في مدرسة “كلية فيكتوريا”، ثم انتقل للدراسة الجامعية وتخرج في جامعة الأزهر في كلية اللغات والترجمة عام 1984م.
تألق أسامة كمال في مجال الترجمة الفورية، حيث تعلم الترجمة الفورية على يد سليم رزق الله، مترجم الرؤساء عبد الناصر والسادات ومبارك. فترجم العديد من المؤتمرات، وعُين مترجماً للرئيس الأسبق حسني مبارك لمدة 11 عاماً، كما أنه كان مترجماً فورياً للتلفزيون المصري، حتى بدأ في مجال تدريس الترجمة الفورية في جامعات بارزة مثل الجامعة الأمريكية والأكاديمية العربية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والنقل البحري بالإسكندرية.
لم يكتفِ بمجال الترجمة بل تنقل بين العديد من المحطات الإذاعية، منها “قناة المحور”، و”قناة دي إم سي”، و”الفضائية المصرية”، و”قناة القاهرة والناس”، فكان يقدم عدداً من البرامج الإذاعية التي ارتبط بها الشعب المصري لأنها تعبر عن أحواله وقضاياه. وكانت بداية تلك المسيرة من برنامج “نادي العاصمة” عام 2011م. وفي عام 2014م، شارك في حوار جمع الإعلاميين بالرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي خلال حملته الانتخابية.
لكن مؤخرًا، بالتزامن مع تقدمه في العمر، تراجعت نشاطاته حتى توقف عن الترجمة وكافة الأنشطة، واكتفى بالعمل الإعلامي فقط، ولكنه لم يقل تميزاً في هذا المجال.

One of the sons of Alexandria who achieved great success due to his exceptional talent, and who managed to accomplish significant achievements with various heads of state, is the renowned media figure, Osama Kamal.
Osama Kamal was born on August 14, 1961, in Alexandria. He began his education at “Victoria College” before continuing to university, graduating from Al-Azhar University with a degree in Languages and Translation in 1984.
Kamal excelled in the field of simultaneous translation, learning under Salim Rizq Allah, the interpreter for Egyptian presidents Nasser, Sadat, and Mubarak. He translated numerous conferences and served as the personal translator for former president Hosni Mubarak for 11 years. Additionally, he worked as a simultaneous translator for Egyptian television before moving into teaching simultaneous translation at prestigious institutions such as the American University in Cairo and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport in Alexandria.
Kamal didn’t limit himself to translation but expanded his career across various broadcasting channels, including Al Mehwar TV, DMC, Egyptian Satellite Channel, and Cairo and the People. He presented several programs that resonated with the Egyptian public as they reflected the people’s concerns and issues. His media journey began in 2011 with the show “Capital Club”. In 2014, he participated in a discussion between media figures and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during his election campaign.
However, in recent years, as he aged, Kamal’s activities gradually declined, and he eventually stepped back from translation and other endeavors, focusing solely on his media career, where he continues to excel.
