Compare Alexandria's past and present through interactive before-and-after photographs.
Time Journey places a historical photograph of a place in Alexandria beside a present-day photograph of the same spot, with a slider between them that shows what changed and what did not: a building facade, a tram line, a cafe, a stretch of corniche.
Every comparison is built on a record in the archive, so each image leads to its full catalogue entry: date, source, photographer and licence.
